Birchbox Review | August 2017

It felt like my birthday all over again as I was opening my latest Birchbox. Here it is!

  1. Spectrum A05 Brush | RRP £59.99 for set
This is such a pretty brush. I used it to apply some highlighter on my cheek bones and was really pleased!
  2. Whish Renewing Mud Mask | RRP £29
This mask smells like peaches, so good! I never actually really notice any long lasting effects with masks apart from right when you’ve removed them. My skin felt smooth and refreshed afterwards, and I know I’ll use this up, even just for the fun of it.
  3. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse OR Shimmer | RRP from £20
First of all, I need to say how much I love the smell of this. It smells like it should be an incense stick. For me, the shimmer limits its uses as I’d have liked to use it on my cuticles. When I did try it out on my hands, I found it a little greasy although it suggests that it shouldn’t be! I’m sure I’ll find other uses for it.
  4. LOC One and Done Shadow Stick in Rock Steady | RRP £8
I swatched this on my hand and fell in love with the colour. I applied it to my eyelids and found it quite hard to blend, having to rub my eyelids quite hard to do so. It looks a lot less shimmery when blended as well but I still like the look of it and I’m sure I’ll use it from time to time.  I also really like how precise it feels to use. I’ve not used a shadow stick before!
  5. Number 4 Sugar Texturising Spray | RRP £20
I’ve never used a texturising spray before (and still not tried out the texturising dry shampoo from my last Birchbox!) so I’m pretty sure I’ve not used this correctly because I don’t notice any difference. Perhaps I didn’t spray enough on?! It does smell good though.

What’s your favourite item from your beauty box this month? What do you do with the items you don’t plan to use?
